Cobb Pinot Noir Emmaline Ann Vineyard 2009 750ml
750ml: $70.00
Magnum: $150.00
The Vineyard
This Pinot Noir comes from a small 3-acre vineyard located just a few miles inland from Coastlands. Planted at an elevation of approximately 800 feet, with a southwest exposure, Emmaline Ann generally gets more shade and fog than any of the other vineyards we work with, contributing to a particularly delicate and sophisticated expression of Pinot Noir.
Tasting Notes
Ross Cobb’s winemaker notes: "This wine displays lovely aromas of raspberry, black plum, cherry and tangerine essence, alongside supporting notes of black rose, incense, forest floor, leather and spice. The past three vintages of this wine have earned 91, 93 and 92 points respectively from International Wine Cellar, and like all of those wines, the 2009 has crisp, focused acidity and incredible aging potential. As one of the members of the West Sonoma Coast Vintners Association (www.westsonomacoast.com), we poured a sneak preview of the 2009 Emmaline Ann at the inaugural West of West Wine Festival, where it was one of the standouts of the tasting."
